Head of the English Department
Nuriye Hilaloğlu was born in Gaziantep in 1984, and completed her primary and secondary education in Gaziantep. Her undergraduate studies from 2002-2007 were in English language and literature in the languages, history and geography department of Ankara University. She qualified as an English teacher by earning a Certificate in Education from Ankara University’s faculty of educational sciences in 2007. From 2008-2014, she taught mainly vocational English and preparation for proficiency tests such as the TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic, Certificate of Proficiency etc. She has worked in the compulsory courses department at SANKO University since August, 2014. Her hobbies include watching films and TV series, and participating in creative drama workshops. She has also taken courses in acting and creative drama at the Drama and Theater Academy (OYTAD) and the Müjdat Gezen Art Center.
B. Yusuf ERDEM
Bayram Erdem pursued his MA Degree in Health Care Management in 2014 after receiving his BA in English Language Teaching from Anadolu University. He completed his CELTA with the University of Cambridge in 2015 and has been working at SANKO University since 2014.
Aslı Geçim was born in 1975 in Gaziantep. She received her BA in American Culture and Literature from Bilkent University. She worked as an English teacher at Private Sanko Schools between 2002-2014. She completed CELTA training (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) in 2013. Then she attended Teacher Training Program at Sabancı University in 2014.
Reading and writing, world cuisine, theatre and classical music are her interests. Also , she is interested in all fields of art that’s why she attended Theatre Course at Hacettepe State Conservatory and Painting Course in Settar Birecikligil Studio.

Gamze Sökücü completed her bachelor's degree in English Language Teaching at Gazi University in 2010, and received her master's degree in English Language Teaching at Çağ University in 2014. In 2015, she completed her DELTA (Diploma of Teaching English to Adults) training run by University of Cambridge. She’s started her doctorate studies at Çukurova University in 2016.
Her areas of research include the use of technology in teaching English: with a specialization in computer assisted language learning (CALL); vocabulary instruction; and gamification.
